The people are nice and well mannered just inexperienced. I had a foot surgery a year ago and was stuck 4 times with an iv then passed out only to be stuck 2 by the second one. I had another foot surgery this morning. This time I had a new nurse that got it on the first try. The anastesiologist forgot to block my leg. So afterwards I felt pain immediately and had to take pains killers. I have taken pain killer after pain killer since I got home as prescribed. I am not on my third time taking it. I only take it early if the pain is unbearable. It has been 20 minutes and the pain meds have not kicked in. They need staff to know what they’re doing. I can’t sleep or relax because of the pain.
Worst experience I've ever had with an emergency facility. I highly recommend that you avoid the facility and if your situation is dire avoid seeing Dr Chao and ask for Kelly the PA! My personal experience with her 2 days in a Row was something worth reporting and ensuring people are aware of. She discharged me with an incorrect diagnosis, (thus returning the following day). She has no empathy, she is rude, has a total disregard for being thorough and attentive, and did not conduct an exam or run a single test on me while I was in severe pain with a high temp and in her care. Her exact initial words to me on my return visit the following morning, after my husband had to drive over from Dallas to take me back in, were "what do you want me to do for you". How OFFENSIVE and unsympathetic can one be and she is the DOCTOR in an ER?
Great hospital...but recently visited the ER with my sick aunt. She was treated and discharged from ER around 10:00 PM. I was parked in the front parking lot - had to pick her up in the ER back parking lot. The front doors to the hospital are locked at 9:00 PM. Instructions posted on door to exit thru ER after 9:00 PM. Very nerve-racking to walk around the dark side of a hospital with two purses, jewelry, etc. Hospital needs to post a way for someone to call a guard to walk them to their car after hours. just add an extension or something! Remember safety!
Emergency room is beyond horrible! We have NEVER had a good experience in there. I had to bring my 3 year old up there this morning, because it is only a mile from our house and it was a timely emergency, his pediatrician also advised me to. They were supposed to be monitoring him, they DID NOT, a nurse which I found out when I walked out, whom wasn't even his nurse, we never saw her, came I took his vitals and that was it. Dr came in checked him again and then we didn't see anothet nurse or Dr for over an hour, and they were supposed to be monitoring him. I had to go ask them to check him again, found out again he was fine and walked out!! This not the 1st bad experience we've had with them. I WILL go else where from now on when it comes to having to go to the emergency room!!
I wish i could give 0 stars..... 7 months ago my mother went to Minden Medical, blood pressure extremely high..... was release and within hours, was sent home & then had a major stroke.
